ACHÉ BRASIL
An explosion of colour, energy and music!.

Founded in 1990 by Mestre Eclilson de Jesus, Aché Brasil is a performance group that fuses music, dance, Capoeira (martial arts and acrobatics) into a dynamic, colourful, high energy performance.

Aché Brasil represents the culture, the traditions, the beliefs, the music and the movement of the people of Brazil.  Equal parts dance, music, spectacle, Aché Brasil has played to enthusiastic audiences and critical acclaim from all over North America receiving a recent nomination for "Live Performers of the Year" at the West Coast Music Awards.

Since 1992, the group has gone on to become one of the most popular touring and performance groups in Western Canada. Seen by thousands on CBC's West Coast Music Award and Much Music, Aché Brasil has far exceed the expectations of many festivals and the media attests, "The tent reverberated to the boom of the drums and the temperature soared. The energy of the band never slowed for the whole hour of their performance…Aché Brasil proved to be a super band". (The Yukon News, Al Pope, June 7, 2000).

The dancers, musicians and performers of Aché Brasil exhibit a rare combination of authenticity and excellence in their work, which is presently unmatched in North America. Experienced and professional, Aché Brasil is committed to presenting high quality performances which best exemplify Brazil's rich cultural heritage.
